New pretties

I have been hard at work and finally have inspiration back, since October I have made three new corsets with loads more on the way three of which or more are custom orders.

First off is my little sisters first corset, made for her birthday 2nd October. It's waist is 21.5" and is tightlace ready. Full steel bone long line underbust. Cupcake outer layer with hand made (by me) totoro bias binding. She hasn't worn it out properly yet but it does look cute on her as shown below though it isn't fully laced here as she was too busy squealing at me due to the fact it had totoro on it haha so cute.

Next is my older sisters wedding corset and skirt though I will concentrate on the corset in this post. I formed the pattern from scratch from the designs of the 1901 hearts corset, no pattern came with patent so it was a nice challenge. It sports a 23" waist and is sweet heart busted, long line full steel boned with a close front. All corsets are tightlace ready and a minimum of 4" reduction. This was hand decorated with irredescent organza, rhinestones and heart trim.

The last one is one for myself, a 1860 pattern and so small. Underbust, tightlace of 14" waist. Chinese silk brocade of course and silver bias binding. Sadly it isn't fully laced her but it is such a lovely shape.

In the works

I keep going on about how I have corsets I am in the middle of making, indeed so but until the busks arrive I cannot complete them, I have some unusual patterns with these orders; (these images do not belong to me I am just showing the style of corset I am making)

First of all I am making two Ribbon corsets, one in brocade with shoulder straps and one out of pvc.. this is an authentic and original ribbon corset

The next one I am making is very rare, from an original patent, I have to pattern it completely from scratch. Similar to this one but with pretty heart shapes in the pattern!

This next one is a corset that I will be making for myself at 14", I just fell in love with the pattern/design... hope it turns out well, I will be adding a front modesty panel though I think as I love the unusual front fastenings

Also I have some normal S-shape corsets similar to the second corset shown here to do, in fact three in total. also seen below

Along with this I am going to make a pretty mesh corset and a skeleton corset, I just love them.
skeleton;

and mesh corsets are well corsets made with mesh ^^

Tightlacing

I absolutely adore to feel tightlaced and the appearance that it gives, there are numerous topics on this and I will outline the basics in this post. More detailed information as always if to come. It is the act of training a waist to be laced smaller than natural with corsets.

It is ages old, since there were stays or corsets there so was tightlacing, the most well known being the tiny wasp-waists or likewise shaped corsets of the 1800's, rest assured that it did indeed occur before then and with men to. Like today, Mr Pearl being a reknowned corsetiere and tight-lacer.

now then, it is not known today how small a ladies waist was ever drawn to, not exactly, during that time but most of the women were laced from the age of 11 and trust me, when trained down correctly it is neither painful or harmful. If you yourself are thinking of doing this then please take it very slowly and if pain occurs remove or loosen off the corset and also only train in a custom or properly fitted garment, off the rack affairs will not do, they are more likely to cause damage or problems plus each person's shape is different and a proper corsetiere will make reference to this.

There are people who tightlace today and more than people realise. The current smallest waist on record for a currently living person is 15" achieved by Cathie Jung wow she looks amazing, gorgeous!!

Here is an image of here, 70 years old, Married, grandmother and she does everything in her corsets. With a corseted figure of 39-15-39 that is an amazing hourglass, very talented lady.

Now then, the smallest waisted ever recorded was an amazing 13" by Ethel Granger, seen right...

 It is obvious to say that if you intend to tightlace be careful and look up proper instructions; the basic rundowns are as follows;
Your organs will be misplaced so you must be careful and select a proper corset, sturdy and well fitting to start off with no more than 2-4" below your natural waist size.
also note than except for reduced eating and breathing capacity there have been no other proven side effects from Tightlacing or waist training.

Step 1;
Put on your body/corset protector (a fitted garment that protects your body and the corset from sweat and wear/rubbing. Not always necessary but advised for those who with to train pretty much 24/7 or long periods of time.

Step 2;
Loosen up your corset as much as possible and fasten up the front around you.

Step 3;
Slowly tighten up the corset until the laces are no longer slack and the corset is tight (not overly so at first) (a tutorial for various methods of lacing and fastening a corset are coming in the next few posts), tie off the corset laces.

Step 4;
Wear the corset in as you normally would and when it starts to feel loose after a hour or so, slowly tighten it up a bit more. Never overtighten too quickly, it damages the corset and yourself. If you start to feel numbness or pain then loosen or remove the garment

Step 5;
When you manage to close a corset and it starts to feel loose when frequently worn it is time to get a smaller one.

Step 6;
Know your Limits! Note that not everyone can physically reach the same waist size and there should be a point where you have to stop and cannot train down anymore without serious injury, this is natural do not try and force this is can be harmful.

Step 7;
Take it easy, it takes a long time to train a waist down... in some cases several years for an inch or so, love your corsets and take care of them.

Step 8;
Love your figure, admire the curves and flaunt it! Always make sure than you loosen off a corset completely before you undo the front fastenings! it may damage the garment otherwise.

Also it is known for women to sleep in a corset, I do this, it is fine, this is called waist-training and may permentantly alter the shape of the body, tone muscle etc. enjoy and I would love to see any images of laced figures ^^ I may feature you in the blod in the future.

Before I go a note on my waist, I can currently lace down to 16", my next target is at least 15" but I doubt I will make it, we shall see. Happy Lacing!

a few of my corsets

I have a looot of corsets, and as previously stated I waist train a lot or rather tight lace, this along with wearing ballet heels for 12 hours a day is good body shaping.. yep I am that sad but then I could walk in those boots straight away pretty much, keep an eye out in the random goings on blog for videos and images of them.

So back to corsets, my smallest corset is a 15.5" underbust in black that I can close now. and this I am making myself a few new corsets of 16" and 14". But first off here is some of my collection, the below corsets are made by the amazingly talented Luthien of Waisted Creations.

This is a 19" Longline half bust with 6 suspenders <3

18" purple and gold underbust with swing hooks

These corsets are some of the ones made by myself

18" Purple Underbust
 20" Red Velvet underbust

18" Black overbust with rose trim

and my current favourite, 16" Black underbust

16" Damask Pink and black brocade half bust

18" Red satin overbust with white marabou trim

I have loads more to

The following two are the only ones I have that were not made by waisted creations or myself

The first one I won from Sexy Plus corsets.. its 18" and very pretty

The second was just so pretty I had to get it, plus its steampunk and its one of a kind, the corsetiere may make something similar but nothing exactly the same... this is the exact one I brought. Its 19" and real leather <3

more corsets to come ^^

New corset made

I made this corset a while ago for the gorgeous leanna moore of HEF, she ordered two.. a lightweight tightlacer that she could sleep in and then a purple and black satin one... with a grand total of 32 bones, lacing bones and triple lining. Its soo pretty. Both long lined underbust and made specifically to fit her.

So yes here are the two corsets.

I will also be posting images of her wearing them when I received them

Me..corsets and I

I suppose a little introduction is the way to go.

Being an avid corset wearer for several years... since I was 13 to be exact although I didn't properly tightlace then of course, I have gain somewhat of a varied collection and knowledge of such gorgeous items.

I began to study the history and the structure and now I make them with my eyes closed.

Note however I am very picky with my stays, I can now close my 16" with ease and am in the middle of making a brand new corset of 14", strange thing is I have never had to properly waist train... my middle just laces smaller for some strange reason. My natural waist being a respectable 22"

For this reason I will only have corsets on that I have made myself or by the gorgeous Luthien of Waisted creations corsetry, there is one that I have in my possesion that was not made by either of us though, it is equally as gorgeous so it is justified....and I won it so it was free.

I think the following post will be a show of some of my babies ^^ hope you are looking forward to it
